POSITION TITLE: Minister of Students
PURPOSE: To lead students in grades 7-12 into a personal and growing relationship with the
Lord, teaching them to be the next generation of leaders and disciples for the Lord Jesus Christ

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A heart for discipling students and the spiritual gift of teaching
• Preferably a Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• Preferably 2 plus years of experience in the areas below:
  • Developing, organizing and effectively leading student ministries
  • Leadership skills in building relationships with teens, young adults and parents
  • Exhibits a personal and growing relationship with God

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS

• Being a student of the word, in prayer and exhibiting a personal and growing
  relationship with God
• Lead and organize students in;
  • Discipleship
  • Mentoring opportunities
  • Bible Study
  • Worship
  • Fellowship
• Self motivated with a positive attitude and outgoing personality
• Applicant should possess;
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Conflict management skills
• Student Minister should be able to create fun and meaningful opportunities for
  students to connect and grow together in their faith by involving students in ministry
  by;
  • Mission projects
  • DNOW
  • Mission trips
  • Winter Extreme
• Maintain records of student attendance to bring awareness to;
  • Outreach opportunities
  • Student accountability
  • Student/family needs
  • Relationship building
• Responsible for Student Ministry budget in cooperation with Budget and Finance Committee
• Communicate with church staff, members, parents, students and congregation
• Assist church staff in:
  • ongoing church projects
  • church wide visitation
  • other assigned tasks
